Nice looking magnesium as41 case

No engine serial number

Made in Mexico

95mm cylinder bore relief size.

Matching case halves stamped 175 on both sides

Received with a batch of other parts so no idea of history and I'm not a VW guy so please ask specific questions that I can take a look at on the block as needed

Seems to be original matching for the 175 stamped on the each side matching numbers

Original magnesium case, good looking and clean.  I pressured washed and then sprayed silicone spray to inspect for cracks and I've found no indication of problems.  Took pictures before spring with silicone so it's sealed from air and moisture right now. Looks even better than the pictures!

no head studs. Missing a couple 6mm oil strainer studs, but threads look good.  A little TLC and this case can be built to run again!

Has threads installed helicoil style at front of engine.  I pressure washed it and inspected to the best of my ability and see no cracks

Cylinder relief is at approximately 95mm measured with calipers.

I'm a motorcycle guy and you guys know these vws better than I do so point out any specific areas you would like me to inspect and send pictures if you have any questions
