Parts Compatibility Between RMX450Z and RM-Z450
While the RMX450Z is based on the RM-Z450, several parts are not interchangeable due to off-road modifications. Below is a general guide:

- Exhaust System – RMX has a spark arrestor, RM-Z does not.
- Transmission – The RMX has a wide-ratio 5-speed, RM-Z has a close-ratio.
- Lighting & Electrical – RMX has a lighting coil, wiring harness, and battery for the electric start.
- Kickstarter – RMX has electric start only, RM-Z has a kickstart.
- Side Panels & Airbox Cover – Slightly different due to battery mounting
