Icon Airflite Mips Demo Helmet
Key operatives and plausible deniability; keep your ride under the radar and minimize collateral damage - the Icon Airflite Demo Mips Helmet is the way.
The exterior is a unique Rubatone finish with a mottled vision of earth-toned hues, while the new Forceshield enables a clear line of sight. The injection molded polycarbonate shell is strong to absorb energy and remain intact just in case you unintentionally headbutt something solid. Inside, the Demo features the latest rotational-reduction system from Mips. A drop down internal sun visor allows you to manage the sun or go to incognito mode at the flip of a switch. Removable Hydradry liner wicks moisture to keep your noggin dry and comfortable.
The helmet’s ventilation system consists of strategically placed air vents, intakes, air channels and exhaust ports. The oversized chin bar intake enhances airflow, keeping you cool by routing air where you need it most. A decrease of both drag and weight is achieved by sculpting the traditional neckline of the Airflite to avoid jacket or suit interference. Wherever your next assignment takes you, the Demo will lead you through the assault.

Mips® safety system
How does the Mips® safety system work?
The brain is typically more sensitive to rotational motion than linear motion because it has shear properties similar to water or gel. When different parts of the brain move relative to each other because of rotational motion, the tissues can stretch, which can cause concussions or other brain injuries. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions and more severe brain injury in oblique hits to the head.
The Mips® safety system consists of a low friction layer mounted inside the helmet. In a crash, the low friction layer is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. This is intended to help reduce the risk of brain injury.

All world standard, meets or exceeds the following: DOT FMVSS 218 (US),
ECE 22-05
The ECE 22.05 (Economic Commission for Europe) standard is quite a bit younger than the current DOT standard and, in many ways, offers a more comprehensive battery of testing than its American cousin. ECE standards test for safety features that can contribute to avoiding an accident altogether, such as the optical quality of approved face shields and safety factors not directly related to impact, such as shell rigidity. Unlike the DOT, every ECE 22.05 certified helmet model must actually be tested against the standard by an independent lab before it is available for sale with an ECE sticker.
(EUROPE), SAI AS1698 (AUSTRALIA) and SG (JAPAN) safety and testing standards. Does not ship with SAI OR SG Certification stickers unless purchased from an authorized dealer in that country
Note: Ships with clear and dark smoke face shield.
