ABOUT THE PART

The NEW SKF GLIDE KIT for WP 48mm AER forks is compatible with all WP AER 48 mm model years, either with those previous to 2021 as well as those newer (2021 onwards).

The NEW KIT is provided with all the components, FOR THE AIR SIDE LEG ONLY, pre-assembled and ready to be installed into the fork’s cartridge parts. The oil dumper leg will no longer be updated.

The PISTON ASSEMBLY is ready to be mounted with the special SKF low friction Seal coupled with its NEW GREEN glide band made of special SKF tecno- polymer (Ecowear 1000 UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene). A complete Cartridge Head Cap is also provided pre-assembled with all SKF components and ready for installation.

This new design cap, equal with newer WP AER model years forks caps, is also compatible with older WP AER forks.

1 x 24mm SKF piston seal for the Air side
1 x special aluminum made SKF piston seal support/seat
1 x 12mm SKF cartridge for the Air side
1 x special aluminum made SKF cartridge seal cartridge cap.
The box will include video and printed instructions.

ABOUT THE PART

The SKF Glide Kit replaces the stock cartridge rod seals on the AIR and OIL damper legs as well as an Air Divider Piston seal in the WP AER 48mm fork. Suitable for both KTM and Husqvarna bike models, equipped with these fork model. The updated forks benefit from less seal drag (friction) and virtually eliminated stick/slip. The new special piston seal provides also a stable sealing independently from the operating environmental temperatures to which the forks are exposed to. The rider will immediately feel better small bump absorption during braking, less arm pump and smoother feel. The reduced friction also allows for better damping, making the forks now more responsive to clicker settings.
