I am testing the waters with this 2018 rmz450 engine. The top end of the engine was rebuilt 19 hours ago. New parts include: - Athena cylinder and piston kit - New oem intake and exhaust valves - New oem cylinder head cnc ported by Yoshimura including beryllium copper valve seats - New oem valve guide seals - New oem cams - New oem timing chain - New oem water pump seal - New oem clutch - All gaskets oem Reason for selling is at about 18 hours I started getting a couple small copper flakes in the oil. Not sure if it's crank related or transmission. When my mechanic rebuilt it the crank was within spec but may be starting to fail. Had my mechanic perform a leak down test at 18.4 hours and it showed 1.5% leakdown indicating motor is strong and it still currently runs great. Decided to do a motor swap to keep me going and not damage all the new parts. If this doesn't sell as a complete engine I will consider parting out. Please read this description before messaging me. Spent $3200 on the rebuild including labor. Price reflects possible crank or transmission part starting to fail. Engine will ship in an igloo cooler to help protect it during transport.
