With its aggressive design, large eye port and dual-position goggle band fitment, the i50 helmet from HJC was thoughtfully designed for off-road riding. Complementing the helmet's Advanced Polycarbonate shell, the i50 uses SLID ( Sliding Layer Impact Distribution Sliding Layer Impact Distribution (SLID) is a helmet safety technology that incorporates a special gel-like material inside the helmet liner. This technology reduces the amount of energy delivered to the brain in the event of an impact by providing a rotating function that cushions and disperses rotational forces. The advanced gel layer provides flowable properties that disperse impact, ensuring maximum safety and protection for riders. ) technology which helps to redirect energy-exerted impacts on the brain by reducing rotational acceleration caused by oblique impacts. SLID is located in the helmet interior and is an advanced gel material with flowable properties. This allows the layer to counter the rotational acceleration, like a slip, thus dispersing the impact when a multi-directional impact occurs.

Not only does the i50 provide protection you can count on, it doesn't skimp on comfort. Nine intakes and four exhaust vents pump air from front to back, working in tandem with the moisture-wicking and antibacterial Supercool interior to keep your noggin cool. Grooves along the interior allow you to wear eyeglasses or sunglasses in comfort.
