The HJC RPHA 12N Carbon Helmet has a lightweight carbon fiber shell with improved aerodynamic performance for reduced lift and drag for enhanced stability. The RPHA 12N delivers on the premium performance of its predecessor the RPHA 12 and is now ECE 22.06 ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern, more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification. approved! This helmet still comes with both a clear face shield and a dark face shield, plus a pinlock lens insert, so you're ready to hit the road right out of the box. The HJ-42 curved shield and 2 way pivot ratchet reduces annoying noise so you can ride in comfort.
