The Dunlop American Elite 2nd Generation H-D tires are the only replacement motorcycle tires for Harley-Davidson bikes that are designed in America, made in America and tested in America. The Multi-Tread Dunlop's "Multi-Tread" technology is synonymous with classic dual compound (or even triple compound) tire construction. Typically a harder rubber compound is used on and around the centerline of the tire's tread to resist wear from acceleration, braking, payload and general mileage. This part of the tire receives the vast majority of contact time with the road. Farther out from the tire's centerline Dunlop will used softer compounds for improved grip at higher lean angles. (MT) rear tire is built with long-wearing compound in center of the tread and lateral-grip compound in each shoulder to maximize cornering performance. The all-new tread design provides even tread wear and quiet operation in all conditions, both wet and dry.

• Available in Blackwall, Narrow White Stripe ( NWS Narrow White Stripe (N W S) tires have a thin stripe of white along the tire's sidewall. White walls are purely for style. The white wall "family" consists of Wide White Walls (W W W), Narrow White Walls (N W W) and Narrow White Stripe (N W S) tires. N W S tires have the thinnest sidewall stripe of these three tire types. ) and Wide Whitewall ( WWW Wide White Wall (W W W) tires have a thick white stripe along the tire's sidewall. The exact width of the stripe varies brand to brand but typically exceeds 3/4". The white wall stripe can start at the tire's bead, or the tire may show some black rubber sidewall before the band of white begins. White walls are purely for style and also come in Narrow White Wall (N W W) and Narrow White Stripe (N W S) varieties. )
