Biltwell ECE Gringo & Gringo S Cheek Pads

A replacement set of cheekpads for your ECE Gringo or ECE Gringo S full-face helmet can be used to customize the fit of your helmet or get it fresh when a washing just won't cut it. Two cheek pads are included with each kit, and installation is easy. All cheek pads are interchangeable between all helmet sizes.

Fitment: 

• Only compatible with ECE 22.05 The ECE 22.05 (Economic Commission for Europe) standard is quite a bit younger than the current DOT standard, and in many ways offers a more comprehensive battery of testing than its American cousin. ECE standards test for safety features that can contribute to avoiding an accident altogether, such as the optical quality of approved face shields and safety factors not directly related to impact, such as shell rigidity. Unlike the DOT, every ECE 22.05 certified helmet model must actually be tested against the standard by an independent lab before it is available for sale with an ECE sticker. -certified Gringo and Gringo S helmets
• Not compatible with DOT-only or ECE 22.06 ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern, more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification. -certified helmets

Note: These cheek pads are only compatible with the ECE 22.05 Gringo and ECE 22.05 Gringo S.

Care: Never throw your helmet's liner or cheek pads in the washer or dryer. Instead, carefully remove the pieces and hand wash them in the sink with mild soapy water. Let them air dry 24 hours before reinstalling them to avoid dampness or mildew. If you can't be bothered with cleaning the comfort liner and cheek pads, simply pull them out, throw them away and replace them with a new set. Viola! your helmet is fresh as a daisy.
