Alpinestars Stella GP-R7 Race Suit

Designed for track day riders, racers and advanced road riders, the Stella GP-R7 Leather Race Suit is optimized for performance riding. Constructed from premium race grade 1.3mm bovine leather for superior abrasion resistance, flexibility, and comfort, the Stella GP-R7 also features extensive perforations for maximum airflow. For aerodynamic performance, the streamlined speed hump is specifically engineered to complement Alpinestars Supertech R10 Helmet. The Stella GP-R7 race suit is supremely protective too, thanks to its Nucleon PLASMA Pro armor and design  that accommodates seamless integration of the Tech-Air® 7x racing airbag.

Construction:

• 1.3mm ‘Race’ spec soft bovine leather construction with dual layers in critical areas for optimized flexibility and abrasion resistance
• Ergonomic Hyper Resistant Stretch Fabric (HRSF) Stretch inserts at crotch, back legs, inner arms and collarbone area for maximum mobility and freedom of movement while delivering exceptional abrasion and tear resistance
• Race-derived DuPont™ Kevlar® Aramidic fiber with elevated resistance to tear, wear, shear and heat complemented by low electrical conductivity and high resistance to chemical corrosion. This excellent mechanical performance is matched by the lightweight and softness of the thread that guarantees comfort and a perfect fit at the same time. fiber grip zone is strategically positioned on the inside of the knee for optimal feel and contact with the bike’s tank

• CE Class AAA The highest level of certification a piece of motorcycle apparel can achieve for abrasion resistance is CE Level AAA, as defined by the EN 17092-2:2020 standard. This rating is typically associated with high-performance riding gear, such as race suits, designed for the extreme conditions of track and high-speed road riding. The testing protocol for AAA-rated garments is significantly more stringent, reflecting the higher risks associated with these activities.
  During the Darmstadt abrasion test, the materials in Zone 1 of a AAA-rated garment are subjected to a much higher rotational speed of approximately 707.4 rpm. This simulates a slide on a concrete surface at a road speed of approximately 75 mph (120 km/h). The material passes the test if it does not develop a hole larger than 5mm in any direction after the abrasion. This demanding requirement provides riders with the highest level of assurance that their gear is built to withstand the intense forces of a high-speed slide, offering critical protection when it is needed most.
