The 6D ATR-3 Helmet offers top-tier protection and comfort for dirt riders. A 3K Carbon Composite Shell features a Rebuildable Omni-Directional Suspension Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) is an active, in-helmet energy management system. The system reduces energy transfer to the brain over a wider range of energy demands, including low, mid, and high-velocity impacts for both linear and angular acceleration. ODS performance is achieved through the use of a suspended dual-liner assembly that can displace and shear in any direction upon impact. Not only has ODS received helmet safety awards from the NFL, but ODS helmets can also be rebuilt / repaired after impact by 6D. (ODS) with a redesigned, lighter carrier and a compliant zone at the rear lower shell to protect the cervical spine. The Air-Gap ventilation system with Ram Air Direct-to-Brow cooling ensures a fresh and comfortable ride, complemented by a removable, washable antibacterial comfort liner and emergency release cheek pads. The ATR-3 also includes speaker pockets for in-helmet communication systems. Safety is paramount, as the helmet exceeds DOT, ECE 22-06, FIM 02 and ACU standards while being compatible with the Eject system. A sternum pad enhances protection, while 6D Proprietary Custom Titanium D-rings ensure a secure fit. Additional features include a removable roost guard, clavicle cutaway, improved center of gravity, recessed shear-away visor screws, magnetic chin strap clasp, drink tube compatibility and a mud visor extension. A deluxe helmet bag is included for convenient storage and transport.
Compared to the ATR-2 predecessor, the ATR-3 Helmet from 6D is massively re-engineered. The biggest highlights for this new lid include an all new shell material, moving now to 3K carbon-composite, and much reduced overall helmet size. The ATR-3 has a smaller, slimmer profile than the ATR-2 across all sizes - all while maintaining or increasing the safety performance of the ODS system. Speaking of safety, the ATR-3 is now built ready to meet future safety certifications including FIM 02 and ACU. (Helmet arrives with official certifications for DOT and ECE 22.06 ECE 22.06 is a helmet safety rating that extends and increases the testing requirements of ECE 22.05 (with 22.05 being a more modern, more comprehensive European alternative to DOT). With 22.06, 12 additional impact points are analyzed (now totaling 18) and impact speed is increased (from 7.5 to 8.2 m/s). Unlike DOT, every ECE helmet model must actually be tested by an independent lab before it receives 22.06 certification. .)
