The RoadTec 2 Tire from  Metzeler is where the paths of supersport tires and sport-touring tires cross. Unique to Metzeler, the RoadTec Tires debut a dynamic "dual-mode" tread pattern that adjusts to your riding style. During easy riding, the long, flowing groove profile results in quick warm-up, compliant ride quality and excellent water evacuation. When ridden hard, the narrow, center portion of these same grooves squeeze together to grow the contact patch, increase potential grip and improve road feel and precision. This "Adaptive Tread Design" is what Metzeler calls "2-tires-in-one: super-sport or sport-touring."

Regardless of riding style or pace, the RoadTec 2 Tires deliver low vibration, low road noise and smooth transitions from the straightaways into turns. All sizes utilize a full silica compound for excellent chemical grip in wet conditions. Front sizes are all single compound. Rear applications are all dual-compound with 80% of the useable tread surface using the softer, grippier formulation.
