The Fire Power 490-9950 is a 12-volt, 2-amp battery charger and maintainer designed for powersport battery systems. This unit is engineered to charge and maintain lead acid, gel, and lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4)/lithium ion polymer batteries. It features an intelligent charging process that adjusts based on the battery's current state. For batteries with a voltage above 10 volts, the charger provides a 2-amp constant current charge until the battery reaches 14.2 volts. Once 14.2 volts is achieved, it automatically switches to a maintenance mode. If the battery voltage is below 8 volts, the unit initiates a low voltage recovery mode, applying a 0.2-amp charge to safely recover the battery. Please verify fitment for your specific application before purchasing.
Key Features
- Charges lead acid, gel, and lithium powersport batteries
- Automatic maintenance mode at 14.2 volts
- Low voltage recovery for batteries below 8 volts
